Color Obsession: rainbow row of colors

I love this Kate Spade board covering up the store renovations in Shangrila Mall! With the purses, shoes & clothes lined up according to color - in rows resembling a rainbow!

It reminded me of other everyday things I've seen lined up according to the colors of the rainbow. Like books...

More books... This time on a bookshelf...

Pencils... Yes, my colored pencils are always arranged this way.

Bridesmaid dresses (which you might remember from here)...

Rainboots...

Stilettos...

This growing trend of pretty rainbow cakes...

And even people! Haha!

Isn't it so much fun?

P.S. Like I warned you here, this is one of those long overdue posts. So by now, the Kate Spade store in Shangri-la Mall might already be open!

Whimsical Wednesday!

Are you going on a trip this summer? Will you be spending the night in a whimsical hotel like this? This is the new rainbow Saguaro Hotel in Palm Springs, California.

Even their rooms are rainbow-striped!

What about this room in the Au Vieux Panier Hotel in Marseille, France? Would you stay in this Panic Room created by artist Tilt?

Half of the room is in colorful graffiti and the other half is pure white.

Turns out, this unique hotel invites artists, graphic designers and painters to redo their rooms every year.

This is the Pantone Hotel in Brussels, Belgium.

Check out the front desk. Did you notice that the colorful panels look like pantone chips?

I just love those pantone bikes!

The rooms are meant to complement the guest's mood as Pantone Universe believes that strong emotions are evoked by color. I think this is the cheerful, warm room.

Notice the pantone chips on the wall? This one is likely the daring, fiery room.

The hotel boasts of the widest selection of Pantone products worldwide. And I think this is my favorite! I'd love to bring these home for our breakfast nook!

Wouldn't it be fun to vacation in color this summer? Have a whimsical Wednesday!

Whimsical Wednesday!

Somewhere over the rainbow... where the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.

The first quadruple rainbow was recently caught on camera, validating over a century-long theory that the phenomenon exists. One would think a "quadruple rainbow" would be a stack of four arcs. But NatGeo says that only two rainbows can be caught in a single frame, because of the way light reflects and bends within raindrops.

I like the idea that more rainbows means more places over the rainbow... and if I just dare to dream, they really do come true!

So dare to dream!

Have a whimsical Wednesday!

clothesline art

Who would have thought arranging the colors of clothes hanging on your clothesline could look this beautiful? I've always thought clotheslines filled with clothes were unsightly. But maybe if I keep the hanging clothes monochromatic? Imagine a clothesline filled with just your camel, khaki and brown clothes? Or just your navy and white clothes? Or, if you have these colors in your closet, a clothesline arranged according to the colors of the rainbow like this photo? Click here for my first Rainbow Art post.

a different kind of windshield art

This time it's not a paintbrush and dust that makes art on this windshield. Click here for my first Windshield Art post. It's dollops of paint arranged according to the colors of a rainbow and a windshield wiper.

Doesn't this just make you smile?

Hope the weather is drier today so your windshield wipers can get whimsical like this. Have a colorful, happy weekend!
